About the exhibition
The nucleus for founding an art gallery in Varaždin can be found in the collection of the distinguished entrepreneur from Ludbreg, Ivan Kovačić (b. 1939). As an enthusiast of his native Podravina region, Kovačić mostly collected works by naïve artists of the Hlebine School, along with other artistically significant achievements from Yugoslav self-taught creativity.
